Finally got my Volk RE30 Clubsport II painted (satin bronze) and installed. Went with 17x8 et45 with 5mm spacers up front and 8mm rears. Michelin PSS in 245/40 on VWR lowering springs. No rubbing at all.
Sorry for the dirty car and poor pics. I'll update once I get everything cleaned up.
The wheels alone are 15 lbs., so about 10 lbs. lighter than stock. Even though the tires aren't "broken in" the grip is tremendous. I have them on my BMW and loved them. The car feels more nimble now with less rotational mass too. I should be under 3,000lbs. with the drop from the wheels and I added a Remus exhaust, which saved a few pounds too.

Wheel Offset
Refers to how your car’s or truck’s wheels and tires are mounted and sit in the wheel wells.
– Zero wheel offset is when the hub mounting surface is in line with the centerline of the wheel.
– Positive wheel offset is when the hub mounting surface is in front (more toward the street side) of the centerline of the wheel. Most wheels on front-wheel drive cars and newer rear-drive vehicles have positive offset.
– Negative offset is when the hub mounting surface is behind the wheel centerline. “Deep dish” wheels are typically a negative offset.
